These terms cover your use of hereticcoffee.com and anything you buy from us online. Heretic Coffee Co. ("Heretic", "we") is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit coffee shop in Portland, Oregon. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these terms.

Using the site

Please use the site for its intended purposes: shopping, learning about our work, giving, volunteering and getting in touch. Don't misuse it, try to break or overload it, access accounts that aren't yours, or use it to break the law.

Your account

You're responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your login email secure. Tell us right away if you think someone else is using it.

Orders and pricing

• Prices are in US dollars and shown at checkout, with shipping and any taxes, before you pay.
• Placing an order is an offer to buy. We may decline or cancel an order, for example if an item is unavailable or a price was shown in error; if we do, you get a full refund.
• Coffee is roasted in small batches. Photos are representative, and flavor notes are our honest description, not a guarantee of how every cup tastes.
• Shipping and returns are covered by our Shipping Policy and Refund Policy.

Wholesale

Wholesale accounts are opened by invitation once we've talked with your shop. Wholesale prices, minimums and delivery options are shown in your wholesale portal and at checkout. Wholesale orders are paid in full at checkout before they ship or are delivered. Wholesale products are for resale or use in your business, not for resale online under the Heretic name without our written permission.

Donations

Donations are processed by Givebutter and are subject to Givebutter's terms. Heretic Coffee Co. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and gifts are tax-deductible to the extent the law allows. Donations are generally non-refundable; if you made a mistake, email us within 14 days and we'll do our best to help.

Messages and photos you send

If you send us a message, note or photo through the site, you confirm you have the right to share it and that it isn't hateful, harassing, or someone else's private information. You let us show it on our site and in the shop, and we may decline or remove anything at our discretion.

Our content

Our name, logo, photos, writing and designs belong to Heretic Coffee Co. or the people who made them. Please don't use them without asking, except to share links to our pages.

Other sites

We link to services like Givebutter, Google Maps and social media. Their own terms and policies apply when you use them.

Disclaimers and limits

We work hard to keep the site accurate and running, but it is provided "as is", and we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, Heretic is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon. Any dispute will be handled in the courts of Multnomah County, Oregon, unless consumer law where you live says otherwise.

Changes

We may update these terms. Changes apply to orders placed after they are posted here.
